Every raid is a match-3 duel against another player's titan. Every swipe feeds your attack — and the fewer turns you need, the more you take home.
An 8×7 board and a live enemy that hits back every single turn. Match 4 to hit harder, match 5 harder still, and chain cascades for more again. Every fight sets its own turn target — beat it for three stars.
Five elements, four rarities, one titan for every pairing. Boxes pay blueprints; when a titan's bar fills you press UNLOCK yourself. Every titan climbs to level 100 — there is no evolve wall in the way.
Skills belong to you, not to a titan. Carry one attack, one defence, one support and an ultimate, drawn from seven families — Strike, Venom, Guard, Mend, Leech, Crush and Berserk. Seven are claimable today; the rest of the 42-card collection arrives through events.

The elements run in a wheel — each one beats exactly one other for +20% damage, and each one gives your ultimate a different sting.
Rarities: Normal · Rare · Unique · Mythic — each step up is a clear, predictable increase in attack, armour and health — a Mythic is about half again a Normal of the same level.

Raiding is how you take — the base is how you rank up. Buildings and crafts are where nearly every rank star comes from, and rank is what decides how much a raid win is worth. Five buildings, each with a job:
Nothing here generates on its own. A building levels when you feed it crafts, and crafts are paid for with crystals you won in a raid.
Shield & Shred is free to play, with no ads. The only things that cost real money are the optional Gem and Coin packs in the shop. Titan Boxes still drop free from raids, daily missions and Boss Rush, and when you buy one with gems, the odds for every size are one tap away. How a box decides what to pay you is written out plainly on the guides page, taken from the game itself rather than estimated.
