Leagues & stars

Eleven tiers, and why stars decide your income.

There are eleven leagues, and your league is the single biggest lever on your income — it sets the fixed reward every raid win pays.

The eleven league skulls in a row, each raised to the height of the rank stars
its league costs — bandaged bronze on the floor, rising through silver, gold,
platinum, diamond and champion, then climbing steeply to the gold-haloed Legend
                skull at the top right.
Eleven leagues, and nearly the whole climb is at the top. Each skull sits at the rank stars its league costs, on a true linear scale rather than a flattering one. Champion is the sixth of eleven and sits at 150,000 — about 4% of the 3,500,000 that Legend asks for.

Bronze · Silver · Gold · Platinum · Diamond · Champion · Grand Champion · Master · Grandmaster · Mythic · Legend

Each tier pays more per win than the one below, in both coins and crystals, and reaching one pays a one-time promotion bonus as well. The ladder is long: Legend is a project, not a weekend.

Stars come from progress, not from raid wins

This is the thing most new players get wrong. Winning a raid pays no rank stars, and losing one costs none. Stars come from:

  • Crafting — the largest lifetime source by a distance.
  • Building and upgrading — more per step the higher the building. The Citadel pays the best rate of the five.
  • Titan levels, skill ranks and ultimate ranks — all at the same rate.
  • Successfully defending your base, scaled by how much the raider actually took, claimed within the grace window.
  • Boss Rush — the one and only combat source. See below.

So if you want to rank up, the answer is almost never “raid more” — it is “finish that craft”. Stars are never spent and never lost, so you cannot be demoted.

League also decides your boxes

Climbing trades box frequency for box size. In the early leagues a good share of your raid wins drop a box, and it is the small one. Higher up the drop rate falls sharply — but the box becomes far bigger. Either way the rate decays a little with each box you have already taken that day and resets at the daily rollover, so there is no point grinding boxes in one sitting.
